Lie of the Day: Stem Cell Research
The lede of this AP story repeats the stem cell canard:
Reversing Bush policy, President Barack Obama on Monday cleared the way for a significant increase in federal dollars for embryonic stem cell research and promised no scientific data will be “distorted or concealed to serve a political agenda.”
The biggest cover-up is this: After years of research, both in the United States and other nations, not a single disease has a proven treatment based on embryonic stem cells. This inconvenient truth exposes the real agenda of the Deathocrats, who are now throwing a bone to their abortion industry donors.
Let private entities fund embryonic stem-cell research. When unemployment is high and getting higher, it is irresponsible to throw money at such an un-promising line of inquiry.
