Does SCO have it backward?
I just found this article about the SCO vs. IBM lawsuit. It has a very telling pseudo-quote in the fourth paragraph:
In essence, SCO is challenging the entire Linux community: "Prove you wrote this code." That’s a challenge only an open-source foe would make. (emphasis mine)
It’s also a challenge that could come from someone very ignorant of legal procedures in the USA. It’s up to the prosecution (SCO) to present the evidence of guilt, which in this context would be copied code. Absent that, they have no case. It’s time to put up or shut up, Darl.
